We only collect what we need to look after your booking and your car — and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
1. Who we are
Compare Bristol Airport Parking is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our booking service.
Contact: [email protected] · 020 4641 5437
2. What we collect
- Contact details — name, email address and mobile number.
- Booking details — service, drop-off and return dates and times, flight numbers (if given), number of passengers and any notes you add.
- Vehicle details — make, model, colour, registration and vehicle size.
- Payment information — confirmation that you paid and how much. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Messages — anything you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the contact form.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and cookies (see section 6).
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Taking and managing your booking, including drop-off and pick-up | Contract |
| Sending your confirmation, directions and service updates | Contract |
| Taking payment, issuing invoices and processing refunds | Contract / Legal obligation |
| Answering questions and handling complaints or damage claims | Contract / Legitimate interests |
| Keeping the website secure and preventing fraud | Legitimate interests / Legal obligation |
| Offers and news (only if you opt in) | Consent |
| Website analytics cookies | Consent |
4. Who we share it with
- The parking team delivering your booking — your name, mobile number, vehicle details, flight numbers and dates, so they can meet you and look after your car. They don’t see your payment details.
- Our payment provider — to take payments and process refunds securely.
- Service providers — website hosting, email delivery and IT support, only as needed to run the service.
- Authorities — if the law requires it, for example to prevent fraud or crime.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
5. How long we keep it
- Booking and invoice records: 6 years after your booking, to meet accounting and tax rules.
- Messages and support notes: as long as needed to resolve your query, then deleted or anonymised.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies keep the booking form and your session working, so they can’t be switched off. Optional analytics cookies are only used if you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time through your browser settings.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it (where we don’t need to keep it by law), restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another organisation. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. To make a request, email [email protected] — we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
8. Security
Payments are encrypted and processed by our payment provider, and access to booking data is limited to people who need it. No website can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Children
Our service is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. International transfers
If any of our service providers store data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved contract clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
